Antique Art Deco Jade Bead Necklace with Diamond Set 18ct White Gold Clasp

A fabulous graduated necklace which consists of a very good strand of jade beads. The necklace uses a 18ct white gold tongue and box clasp closure, set with an old '8' cut diamond in the centre and a smaller old '8' cut positioned either side. The clasp also has a `millgrain set` border (From the French word mille for a thousand, and from grain as the same meaning in English, it refers to what appears to be thousands of tiny beads upon a metal precipice or edge)
The jade beads are a lovely deep apple green, very well-matched and have a good even colour.

The largest jade bead measures approx. 9.1mm in diameter.
The smallest jade bead measures approx. 4.1mm in diameter. 

The principal diamond measures 1.8mm in diameter. 
Outer diamonds measure 1.5mm in diameter. 

The chain measures 26 inches in length. Equivalent to 66.0cm.

The clasp is unmarked, and tests 18ct gold. 

CONDITION: Overall very good, with some very light wear commensurate with age.

This is an antique item, making it excellent value for your money when compared to a new equivalent. 
The links are tight from little wear meaning it can be worn every day (with respect). It has been ever so gently cleaned in our workshop.
