Crisp Example of a Beautiful Antique Early 20th Century 5 Stone Old European Cut Diamond 18ct Gold and Platinum Ring.

This superbly made ring dates from the early 20th century, circa 1920. 

They are just not out there in this sort of condition anymore.

Manufactured in 18ct yellow gold and platinum; the head of the ring is crafted in platinum whilst the shank is 18ct yellow gold - very traditional, a classic that never goes out of fashion.
Set with a curved line of graduated old European cut diamonds that are all original, well-matched diamonds and have an approximate total weight of 1.60 carats. 
It has attractive double-claw settings. 

It would make a perfect engagement, anniversary or right-hand ring.

Diamonds are typical of the period, white and bright with a few natural inclusions. Appraised colour H/I, clarity Vs to Si2

The diamonds are all original natural earth-mined old European cuts.

The principal diamond measures 5.3mm in diameter, and weighs approx. 0.55 carats.
The smallest diamond measures 3.6mm in diameter. 

Diamonds have a combined carat weight of a whopping 1.60 carats; it makes a statement when worn. 

The head of the ring measures approx. 5.8mm (width) tapering to a 2.4mm shank.
Weight 3.8g. 

Unmarked, tests 18ct gold and platinum. 

The ring size is currently L 1/2 (UK Scale) or 5 7/8 (US Size) but can be modified free of charge in our comprehensive workshops.

Overall, it is a highly collectable and wearable piece of genuine antique jewellery.

CONDITION: Overall very good, with some light wear commensurate with age.
This is an antique item, making it excellent value for your money when compared to a new equivalent. 

The settings are perfect condition and can be worn every day (with respect). It has been professionally cleaned in our workshop.
