Antique Edwardian 18ct Gold Five Stone Diamond Gypsy Ring. Excellent Example.
This lovely simple traditional ring dates from the Edwardian era, dated 1903.
There are 3 old '8' cut diamonds and 2 rose-cut diamonds positioned across the head of the ring, the gemstones taper in size from the centre and are arranged in a marquise or boat shape.
Stones are mounted in a star set design.
The gypsy ring design has traditionally been considered very lucky and would traditionally be given as a token of love - the star setting literally means “You are the star in my life”, and the diamond translates as “for eternity”.
What a perfect ring to give to someone that you love.
Getting harder and harder to find in this condition, strong and can be worn every day with confidence.
The principal diamond measures approx. 2.1mm in diameter.
Outer diamond measures approx. 1.0mm in diameter.
The head of the ring measures 7.3mm tapering to 2.9mm shank
The ring weighs 4.1g. This is a nice example.
UK hallmarked 18ct gold. Dated Birmingham 1903. Sponsors mark 'H. Ltd'.
The ring size is currently K 1/2 (UK Scale) or 5 3/8 (US Size) but can be modified free of charge in our own comprehensive workshops (please contact us with your size to confirm before purchasing please).

CONDITION: Overall very good, with some light wear commensurate with age.
