Antique Edwardian 18ct Gold Lover’s Knot Ring set with Old Mine Cut Diamonds. Excellent Weight Example.
This lovely simple traditional ring dates from the late Edwardian era, hallmarked London 1917. It is composed of decorated and plain intertwined knots and is set with a mine-cut diamond in the centre with smaller mine-cut diamonds on either side, the diamonds are set within diamond-shaped settings.
Traditionally this style of ring signifies the union of two people and represents “Eternal love that cannot be untied.” What a wonderful ring to give as an engagement or commitment ring, or just to wear as a beautiful look.
Getting harder and harder to find in this condition, strong and can be worn every day with confidence.
The principal diamond measures approx. 2.7mm in diameter.
Outer diamond measures approx. 2.0mm in diameter.
The head of the ring measures 12.7mm tapering to 4.3mm shank
The ring weighs 6.5g. This is a good weight example.
UK hallmarked 18ct gold. Dated London 1917. Sponsors mark 'H. W. Ld'.
The ring size is currently L (UK Scale) or 5 1/2 (US Size) but can be modified a few sizes up or down free of charge in our comprehensive workshop.
Overall a highly collectable and wearable piece of genuine antique jewellery, a timeless style which will never go out of fashion, and a quality item that will last a lifetime.
CONDITION: Overall very good, with some light wear commensurate with age.
This is an antique item, making it excellent value for your money when compared to a new equivalent.
