Genuine antique chain with a lovely decorative design with an ornate fetter link design consisting of long links and Prince of Wales links in between; it makes a statement when worn on its own but can also be worn with a pendant or locket too, or a lovely old seal/fob.
Very useful and wearable antique chain is manufactured in 9ct gold, it has has the original antique bolt ring (the spring is strong).

Its a rarity to have survived, under magnification it shows the handcrafting and hand soldering; these miniature works of art need to be studied, and you need to know the manufacturing process to fully appreciate their character. A modern one would be cast, having little `definition` left after the casting process and no character.
Shows little signs of wear, it is in remarkable condition considering its age (its 125 years old!), it is still perfectly wearable.
Presented in truly excellent original condition, traces of the original gilding still there between the links.
