Antique Edwardian Ruby and Diamond 5 Stone 18ct Gold Ring in Very Good Original Condition.
This superbly made ring dates from the late Edwardian era, dated Chester 1915.
It is manufactured in 18ct gold and set with 3 graduated rubies along the head of the ring, the stones taper ring in size from the centre; there is also 2 smaller Old European cut diamonds positioned in-between the rubies.
Stones are held securely in place by claws.
Rubies are a fabulous blood red with flashes of pink, whilst the diamonds are well matched clean, white and bright.
The stones are all original, no replacements, a remarkable survivor.
They are just not out there in this sort of condition anymore.
Principal ruby measures 3.6mm in diameter. Smallest ruby measures 3.2mm in diameter.
Diamonds measure 2.7mm in diameter.
The settings are perfect, it can be worn daily making it the perfect engagement or anniversary/eternity ring.
Head of ring measures approx. 5.6mm (width) tapering to a 2.5mm shank.
Ring weighs 3.4g. This is a quality ring.
UK hallmarked 18ct gold. Dated Chester 1915. Sponsors mark 'W & H Ld'.
The ring size is currently K (UK Scale) or 5 1/8 (US Size) but can be modified free of charge in our own comprehensive workshops.
Overall, a very wearable antique ring.
CONDITION: Overall very good, with some light wear commensurate with age.
This is an antique item, making it excellent value for your money when compared to a new equivalent.
The settings are perfect condition and can be worn every day (with respect). It has been professionally cleaned in our workshop.
