Antique Regency Turquoise 5 Stone 18ct Gold Ring in Very Good Original Condition

This pretty ring dates from the Regency era, circa 1820 - 1830. 
Manufactured in 18ct gold and set with 5 graduated turquoise along the centre, the stones taper ring in size from the centre. The shoulders have an attractive scroll motif.
Stones are held securely in place by claws.
The turquoise are all original, with no replacements, a remarkable survivor; 
they are just not out there in this sort of condition anymore.

The use of turquoise within rings represents the colour of the “forget me not” flower so they were seen as tokens of love and admiration.

Principal turquoise measures 4.4mm in diameter. The smallest turquoise measures 3.8mm in diameter. 
The settings are perfect, it can be worn daily making it the perfect engagement or anniversary/eternity ring. 

The head of the ring measures approx. 6.1mm (width) tapering to a 1.3mm shank.
The ring weighs 2.8g. This is a quality ring.

Unmarked, tests 18ct gold. 

The ring size is currently O (UK Scale) or 7 (US Size) but can be modified a couple of sizes free of charge in our own comprehensive workshops.

Overall, a very wearable antique ring.

CONDITION: Overall very good, with some light wear commensurate with age.
This is an antique item, making it excellent value for your money when compared to a new equivalent. 
The settings are perfect condition and can be worn every day (with respect). It has been professionally cleaned in our workshop.
