It can be worn as a pendant, a charm, or on a watch chain.

A masonic pendant that dates from the late Victorian to early Edwardian period, circa 1880 - 1900. It is manufactured in 15ct gold An unusual 15ct gold, and is composed of Masonic symbols of the square and compass that represent morality and good behaviour.
Both sides of the symbols are beautifully hand-engraved with a floral motif.

It is a great addition for any serious charm collector and of course any freemason or spouse.

15ct gold was only a legal standard of gold in British jewellery between 1854 and 1931. This means that any piece of 15ct antique gold jewellery from Britain dates somewhere between 1854 and 1931 and you have a genuine piece of antique or vintage jewellery.

It measures 24.6mm x 21.8mm and 0.6mm in depth (not including bale).
Bale measures approx. 5.6mm.
Weight 1.5g.

Unmarked, tests 15ct gold.

This is one of the genuine older varieties with hand-engraved symbols, not the cheaper modern reproduction versions which are pre-cast.

CONDITION: Overall good, with some light wear commensurate with age. They were originally worn on the end of a watch chain and invariably picked up a few surface marks where they came into contact with the chain and watch.
This is a Pre-owned item, making it excellent value for your money compared to a new equivalent.
