Sought After Victorian 18ct Gold Pierced Decorative Fetter Link Chain in Very Good Condition.

This is a highly decorative chain to wear.

It is composed of ornate pierced links with plain links in between arranged in a fetter link design. The 
Very useful and wearable antique chain is manufactured in 18ct gold, it has has the original bolt ring attached (the spring is strong).

Stamped `18' on the bolt ring.

Its a rarity to have survived, under magnification it shows the handcrafting and hand soldering; these miniature works of art need to be studied, and you need to know the manufacturing process to fully appreciate their character. A modern one would be cast, having little `definition` left after the casting process and no character.

Shows little signs of wear, it is in remarkable condition considering its age (its 150 years old!), it is still perfectly wearable.

Presented in truly excellent original condition, traces of the original gilding still there between the links.

The chain measures 26 inches in length. Equivalent to 66.0cm 
The links are 5.0mm in width.

CONDITION: Overall very good, with some very light wear commensurate with age.

This is a pre-loved antique item, making it an excellent value for your money compared to a new equivalent. 
It has been ever so gently cleaned in our workshop.
