Excellent Crisp Example of a Beautiful Quality Antique Victorian Old European Cut Diamond and Rose Cut Diamond 18ct Gold Carved Shoulder Ring.

This superbly made ring dates from the late Victorian era, with beautiful crisp 'carved' shoulders.

They are just not out there in this sort of condition anymore.

Manufactured in 18ct yellow gold; it is set with a curved line of graduated old European cut diamonds that are well matched good white stones and have an approximate total weight of 1.75 carats. There are also 8 small rose cut diamonds positioned between the diamonds. 
The mounts are stylised curved claws that not only look very decorative but hold the stones securely in place. The shoulders have an incised scroll design.

Diamonds are clean, white and bright. Appraised colour I/J, clarity VS/Si

The diamonds are all original, no replacements, a remarkable survivor. 

Principal diamond measures 5.0mm in diameter, and weighs approx. 0.50 carats.
Smallest diamond measures 3.0mm in diameter. 
Rose cut diamonds measure approx. 1.4mm. 

Diamonds have a combined carat weight of a whopping 1.75 carats; really makes a statement when worn. 

The carved sides show no signs of wear, settings are perfect, can be worn daily making it the perfect engagement or anniversary ring.

Head of ring measures approx. 6.1mm (width) tapering to a 2.0mm shank.
Ring weighs 3.7g. This is a quality ring.

Stamped '18' for 18ct gold. 

The ring size is currently M 1/2 (UK Scale) or 6 1/4 (US Size) but can be modified free of charge in our own comprehensive workshops.

Overall, a highly collectable and wearable piece of genuine antique jewellery.

CONDITION: Overall very good, with some light wear commensurate with age.
This is an antique item, making it excellent value for your money when compared to a new equivalent. 
The settings are perfect condition and can be worn every day (with respect). It has been professionally cleaned in our workshop.
