Truly Excellent Antique Victorian Silver Locket and Collar Necklace.
Very collectable, useful and wearable antique necklace, manufactured in sterling silver with articulated links and a large oval sterling silver locket suspended from a loop.
Unusually, the chain has a suspended link meaning the necklace can be worn at a longer length.
Each links has hand engraved pierced floral design, whilst the front of the locket displays 2 flowers as well as intricate, chased patterning across the front whilst the reverse is plain.
Inside are the two original frames so that you can put photographs in. We have kept the original interior photos as it came to us; they can be removed if the new custodian wishes, just let us know.
Presented in truly excellent original condition, no wear to the links, hinge still good and tight, locket `snaps` closed as it should.

Locket measures 45.1mm x 35.0mm and 103mm in depth.
The shorter chain length measures 17 inches in length; equivalent to 43.18cm. It can be extended up to 18.25 inches in length, equivalent to 46.35cm.
The links are 13.4mm wide.
Locket and chain weigh 60.2g.
UK hallmarked sterling silver. Dated Birmingham 1882.
One of the collar links is also hallmarked with the lion passant for sterling silver.
Genuine nice old one, study under magnification shows the hand soldering and hand engraving, not machine manufactured.
