Outstanding Pre-loved Vintage Oval Smoky Quartz 9ct Gold Dress Ring. Bigger & Better Than Most We See.
Very much in the vintage `dress ring` style which is becoming so sought after today.
A fantastic statement ring mounted in 9ct yellow gold has an oval smoky quartz in the centre, which is held in place by claws. The ring has an attractive beaded design around the head of the ring and a stylish pierced gallery; unusually, there is also a scroll design on the shoulders of the ring.
A ring that is retro-personified!
Cairngorms originate from pieces being sold to travellers who flocked to the Cairngorms to discover the beauty and serenity of the Scottish mountains after Queen Victoria made them popular tourist destinations.
Gemstone measures approx. 25.0mm x 18.6mm and 11.6mm in depth. Calculated carat weight of 28.13 Carats!
The head of the ring measures 27.9mm x 21.3mm and 11.9mm in depth.
Good weight at 12.7g.
The ring size is N 1/2 (UK Scale) equivalent to 6 3/4 in US size, but can be modified free of charge in our comprehensive workshops.
UK hallmarked 9ct. Dated London 1972. Sponsors mark 'M K'.
Overall a highly collectable and wearable piece of genuine period cocktail/ dress ring jewellery.
CONDITION: Overall very good, with some very light wear commensurate with age.
This is a vintage item, making it excellent value for your money when compared to a new equivalent.
The settings are in good condition and can be worn every day (with respect!). It has been professionally cleaned in our workshop.
