Lovely Vintage Ruby and Diamond 18ct Gold Owl Cocktail Ring
Genuine 1950`s / 1960`s 'cocktail ring' which is so sought after today; it offers excellent value for money, it's very weighty and just feels lovely in the hand - real quality.
A fantastic ring manufactured in 18ct gold to resemble an owl. It is adorned with vibrant pink/red 2 cabochon rubies to represent its eyes, and is accented with 15 tapered modern brilliant cut diamonds. The owl is also very well cast and 3 dimensional, it is chased/engraved for added definition; and has layered gold bars to represent textured gold feathers. Altogether a fantastic and unusual ring. The diamonds are well matched, clean, white and bright; whilst the rubies are a gorgeous red/pink.
Rubies measure 2.0mm in diameter. Diamonds vary in size, the largest measures 2.5mm in diameter and the smallest measures 1.8mm in diameter. Combined estimated carat weight of 0.50 carats.
Head of ring measures approx. 15.7mm (width) tapering to a 3.5mm shank, and measures 6.9mm in depth.
Weight 11.4g. This is a good weight example.
