An Attractive Antique Solitaire Ring Set With An Old European Cut Diamond.
This superbly made ring dates from the Late Victorian period 1890/1900.
Very unusual shank and setting, which sets it apart from most we see; it sits nice and low on the finger, and a nice bit of raised decoration terminates the shank where it meets the setting.
Manufactured in 18ct rose gold, with a platinum setting for the diamond.
The diamond has a calculated weight of 0.66 carats.
Appraised colour H/I, clarity Si1/2
Finger size: UK O, US 7
Diamond measures 5.00mm x 5.10mm and 3.5mm in depth.
Has been through our workshop, cleaned & polished, settings checked, and are perfect; can be worn daily, could be a perfect antique engagement ring or anniversary ring.
The head of the ring measures approx. 6.4mm (width), tapering to a 1.2mm shank.
Weight 2.8g.
Original retailer's stock/inventory number engraved inside the shank: `2881`.
Tests: 18ct gold and platinum
