9ct Rose Gold Double Snake Ring. Pre-Loved. Hallmarked Birmingham 1918

Nice `Coily` 9ct Gold Snake Ring. 

Victorian style, manufactured in 9ct gold and is beautifully modelled and it wraps around the finger.

Snake rings were very popular in the Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian periods as the snake motif in antique jewellery represents “Eternal love and wisdom”, so pieces such as this ring would have been a gift from an admirer.

Weight is a quality 7.97g.

The head of the ring measures 12.3mm and tapers to an 10.6mm shank.

The ring is currently size U 1/2 (UK Scale) or 10 1/2 (US Size). Unfortunately, due to the design of the shank, we can only tweak the size slightly, maybe one size either way.
