Beautifully hand-made 15ct gold bar brooch adorned with graduating split pearls. 

Truly a beautiful piece that features a star and moon motif carefully set with natural graduating split pearls.

Traditionally, in antique jewellery design, the moon symbolises the start of a relationship which, it was hoped, would “wax” into a marriage.

Likewise, a crescent moon dates back to the second millennium BC and is the oldest symbol known to man. It became most popular in jewellery in the Georgian and Victorian periods. Crescent moons celebrate the Feminine moon goddess and are associated with female empowerment. 

Stars symbolize hope, guidance, and inspiration. They are often seen as beacons of light, representing direction and the promise of new beginnings. The North Star, in particular, is a powerful emblem of guidance, often worn to stay true to oneself and the path one is meant to follow.

The craftsmanship needs to be studied under magnification to be appreciated, and the condition is outstanding.
