Nice `Coily` 18ct Gold Snake Ring.

Edwardian, manufactured in 18ct gold and is beautifully modelled and it wraps around the finger.

Snake rings were very popular in the Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian periods as the snake motif in antique jewellery represents “Eternal love and wisdom”, so pieces such as this ring would have been a gift from an admirer.

The head of each snake is set with an `old European cut` diamond.
The weight is a quality 8.60g.

The head of the ring measures 14.6mm and tapers to a 10.9mm shank.

Hallmark 18ct Gold, London 1918.

Inside the shank is also engraved `8151` probably a jeweller's inventory number, and `Crispin` assumed to be a previous owner.

Overall, a highly collectable and wearable piece of antique jewellery.

The ring is currently size U 1/2 (UK Scale) or 10 1/2 (US Size). Unfortunately, due to the design of the shank, we can only tweak the size slightly, maybe one size either way.
