Antique Edwardian `Half Hoop` Turquoise 18ct Gold 5 Stone Ring.
This well-made ring dates from the Edwardian era, assayed in Birmingham in 1917.
It is manufactured in 18ct gold and set with 5 graduated turquoise, the stones taper ring in size from the centre.
Gemstones are held securely in place by claws, and the shoulders of the ring have an attractive 'ribbed' design.
All turquoise are original, no replacements, a remarkable survivor.
Principal turquoise measures 3.6mm x 4.5mm in diameter. The smallest turquoise measures 2.6mm x 2.7mm in diameter.
The head of the ring measures approx. 7.3mm (width) tapering to a 2.5mm shank.
Weight 4.1g. This is a quality ring.
