Vintage Diamond 18ct Gold Bow Brooch.
Highly artistic and flowing, very `3 dimensional`
56 diamonds in total, all are modern brilliant round diamonds arranged to resemble a bow, very well made from every angle .
The diamonds are `grain set` in 18ct white gold and are clean and white and bright.
Traditionally seen as a symbol of love and marriage, the bow motif first appeared in jewellery in the 17th century French royal court of Louis XIV.
The brooch is superbly made.
Beautiful piece of estate jewellery, will look stunning against a blouse, suit or jacket.
Diamonds measure between 1.8 and 2.3mm in diameter, tricky one to estimate, but averaging 0.03 carats each, x 55, I would estimate a total diamond weight of approx. 1.6 carats.
Fitted with a nice `rollover` safety catch for added security.
