Antique Art Deco Diamond Platinum Brooch.

Pure Deco geometric design. Beautiful quality.

A fabulous piece of antique jewellery. The brooch is manufactured in platinum. The pin and hook on the back is 18ct gold.

Offered in perfect condition, it has been treasured and kept in its box and has been preserved wonderfully, - it is mint.

Larger diamonds are round old transitional cut.  The smaller diamonds are `rose cut`. 

The 'buckle' detailing is set with dark faceted carnelian; it does look black at first, but hold it to the light and it is a deep red carnelian.

Under magnification, it shows the intricate hand manufacture,  hand soldering and hand assembly; these miniature works of art need to be studied, and you need to know the manufacturing process to fully appreciate their character. This example has some of the finest `millegrain` detail I have seen.

Diamonds vary in size; the largest measures 2.8mm in diameter and the smallest measures 1mm in diameter.

Estimated total diamond weight is a minimum of 1.5 carats. We have been conservative in our estimate.

Overall dimensions are 69.8mm x 13.1mm and 7.11mm in depth.

Weight 7.7g. 

Tests platinum and 18ct gold.
