Antique Art Nouveau Amethyst and Natural Pearl 9ct Gold Necklace.

Very collectable and rare, beautiful and highly wearable. Totally original - never altered or repaired.

This beautiful antique jewel is designed in the art nouveau style which was fashionable during the late 1900s / early 20th Century.

The style was popularised by the Duchesse de la Vallière, a mistress of King Louis XIV of France.
A lavalier can be recognized most for its drop, usually consisting of a stone and/or a chandelier pendant, which is attached directly to the chain, not by a bail.

Manufactured in 9ct gold, the necklace is mounted with pear and round amethysts and 3 small pearls.

The round amethyst is 7.1mm

The natural pearls ~ 3.3mm

The chain measures 16.5 inches

The necklace dates from the Art Nouveau period, circa 1900 / 1910.
