Beautifully Hand-Made Gold Brooch Depicting Cupid with his arrow.

Mounted in 9ct yellow gold, this marvellous piece in striking condition features a piece of porcelain on which a motif of Cupid is hand-painted on a porcelain plaque.
These rarely survived due to their delicate nature, so to find one in good condition is wonderful, under magnification, there a a few light marks , (probably where kept in the jewel box and not separately,) But nothing visible to the naked eye.
From the late Victorian or perhaps early Edwardian.
Some of these plaques were purchased on the Grand Tour, and brought home to be mounted at the local jeweller.

Unmarked, the frame tests 9ct gold, and the pin has a secure `roll-over` safety catch.
