Antique 9ct Rose Gold and Diamond Snake Ring. Assayed in Chester 1919

Nice `Coily` Antique 9ct Rose Gold Gold Snake Ring. 

He is manufactured in 9ct gold and is beautifully modelled and it wraps around the finger.
There is a 0.33ct natural old European cut diamond set into his head

Snake rings were very popular in the Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian periods as the snake motif in antique jewellery represents “Eternal love and wisdom”, so pieces such as this ring would have been a gift from an admirer.

Weight 6.5g

The head of the ring measures 11.5mm and tapers to an 8.8mm shank.

The ring is currently size R centre. (UK Scale) or 8 5/8 (US Size). Unfortunately, due to the design of the shank, we can only tweak the size slightly, maybe one UK size either way.
