Truly Excellent Example of a Sought After Antique 9ct Rose Gold Victorian Long Guard Chain. 

Remarkable survivor, full length in good order, no signs of alteration, links still tight.

Very useful and wearable antique chain manufactured in 9ct gold, it has attractive double ribbed links, in the Regency style, it also has the original `dog clip` (the spring is strong).

Presented in truly good original condition, traces of the original gilding still there between the links.

A highly useful article of antique jewellery that can be worn on its own, or take a locket or pendant, fob or seal and can be wrapped around the neck twice.

The chain measures 55 inches in length. Equivalent to 139.7cm
The links are 2.8mm wide. 
Weight 17.1g.

Stamped '9c' on the clip, also on the soldered tag. 

Study under magnification shows the hand drawing of the gold wire and hand soldering.
