Outstanding Antique Art Deco 2.0 Carat Diamond Openwork Brooch.
A fabulous piece of antique jewellery. The brooch is manufactured in 14ct white gold and has a mixture of old European cut diamonds and transitional cut diamonds which epitomises the very best in art deco design.
The largest diamonds are positioned in the centre and edges of the brooch, which are surrounded by 14 diamonds arranged in a elongated marquise shape.
The brooch has a total of 17 diamonds.
Diamonds are all claw set.
The diamonds are well matched, clean, white and bright.
Under magnification it shows the hand soldering; these miniature works of art need to be studied and you need to know the manufacturing process to fully appreciate their character.
Diamonds vary in size, largest measures 4.1mm in diameter and smallest measures 2.5mm in diameter.
Estimated total diamond weight is minimum of 2.0 carats. We have been very conservative in our estimate.
Overall dimensions are 55.9mm x 13.5mm.
Weight 4.9g.
Test 14ct white gold.
Dates from the late Edwardian to early Art deco period.
