Beautiful Antique Art Nouveau Diamond 'Toi et Moi' Crossover 22ct Gold Ring
This nicely made ring dates from the Victorian era, Circa 1860 - 1880.
A pretty ring that is unusually manufactured in 22ct gold. It is a crossover design with an attractive 'ribbed' shank, and an attractive scroll motif either side. The whole still has an Art Nouveau feel about it. It would make a very pretty engagement ring.
This style of ring is often called “Toi et Moi” meaning 'you and me' as it represents the union of two people because of the use of the two diamonds in the centre, so it would make a perfect engagement ring. It sits low on the finger so it is a practical ring to wear.
the diamonds are claw set in an attractive scalloped design.
The diamonds are eye clean, white, and bright & lively. Appraised H/I colour, VS/Si clarity
Diamonds measure 4.0mm in diameter. Combined carat weight of 0.56 carats.
The head of the ring measures approx. 10.0mm in width tapering to a 2.7mm wide shank - it really makes a statement on the finger.
Weight 4.5g.
Stamped '22ct'.
The ring size is currently N 1/2 (UK Scale) or 6 3/4 (US Size) but can be modified free of charge in our own comprehensive workshops.
Overall a highly collectible and wearable piece of genuine antique jewellery dating from the mid Victorian era, circa 1860 - 1880.
CONDITION: Overall very good, with some light wear commensurate with age.
This is an antique item, making it excellent value for your money compared to a new equivalent.
The settings are in good condition and can be worn every day (with respect). It has been professionally cleaned in our workshop.
