Beautiful Quality Antique Certificated Natural Ruby and Rose cut Diamond Victorian Carved 18ct Gold Ring.
This superbly made ring dates from the Victorian era, with beautiful crisp `carving` across the head of the ring.
They are just not out there in this sort of condition anymore.
Manufactured in 18ct yellow gold; there are 5 cushion cut rubies positioned across the head of the ring, tapering in size from the centre. There are also 10 small rose cut diamonds positioned between the rubies.
Rubies are an excellent colour of pigeon-blood red.
The rubies are all original, no replacements, a remarkable survivor.
The rubies have been independently assessed as being natural rubies. The ring will be sent with the gemmological report.
Principal ruby measures 3.6mm x 3.6mm. Smallest ruby measures 2.7mm x 2.7mm.
Diamonds measure approx. 1.2mm.
The carved sides show no signs of wear, settings are perfect, can be worn daily making it the perfect engagement or anniversary ring.
Head of ring measures approx. 4.5mm (width) tapering to a 2.1mm shank.
Ring weighs 3.3g. This is a quality ring.
UK hallmarked 18ct gold. Dated Birmingham 1894.
The ring size is currently Q (UK Scale) or 8 (US Size) but can be modified free of charge in our own comprehensive workshops.
Overall, a highly collectable and wearable piece of genuine antique jewellery.
CONDITION: Overall very good, with some light wear commensurate with age.
This is an antique item, making it excellent value for your money when compared to a new equivalent.
The settings are perfect condition and can be worn every day (with respect). It has been professionally cleaned in our workshop.
