Excellent Antique Edwardian 9ct Gold Albert Watch Chain with T-Bar.
Genuine antique graduated curb link watch chain in good condition; it is a good length measuring 15.0 inches (Equivalent to 38.1cm)
It is termed as an “Albert” chain after Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s husband, who popularised the wearing of chains across the waistcoat with seals and a watch attached to the dog clip terminal.
Weighs 42.3g; a very solid albert, that uses an excellent gauge of gold.
Stamped '9ct' and '9. 375'.
No sign of any repairs.
We have only ultrasonically cleaned it, not polished it, so that it retains its patina.
Genuine one dating from the late Edwardian period; dated 1919.
They really aren't out there in this tidy condition any more.
