Beautiful Quality Antique Edwardian Solitaire Old European Cut Diamond Platinum and 18ct White Gold Ring with Old '8' Cut Diamond Set Shoulders. Quality Mount In Excellent Condition.

This stunning handmade ring is crafted in 18ct white gold and platinum; the head is crafted in platinum whilst the shank is 18ct white gold. It dates from the early Edwardian era, circa 1900. 
This very pretty ring has a large old European cut diamond in the centre and has 4 old '8' cut diamonds on each of the shoulders that sweep up to join the top. It is a classic look when worn and would make a perfect antique engagement ring.
The principal stone is held in place by 8 claws; also, the gallery is exceptionally pretty with a scallop design.

The finest old European cut diamonds carry a unique character and charm, unparalleled against their modern counterparts.
Diamond is super white, bright and sparkling, appraised G/H colour, Si clarity. 

The principal diamond measures 6.5mm in diameter and 3.3mm in depth, calculated carat weight of approx. 0.92 carats. 

The '8' cut diamonds measure 1.3mm in diameter.

The perfect antique engagement ring. It has been through the workshop, cleaned and polished, settings are in perfect order.

The head of the ring measures approx. 7.2mm (width) tapering to a 2.1mm shank.
Weight 3.3g. 
Stamped '18ct Plat'. 

The ring is currently size M 1/2 (UK Scale) or 6 1/4 (US Size) but can be modified free of charge in our own comprehensive workshops.

Overall a highly collectable and wearable piece of genuine antique jewellery.

CONDITION: Overall good, with some light wear commensurate with age.
This is an antique item, making it excellent value for your money when compared to a new equivalent. 
The settings are in perfect condition and can be worn every day (with respect). It has been professionally cleaned in our workshop.
