Beautiful Quality Antique Edwardian Turquoise and Old European Cut Diamond Cluster Ring.

This superbly made ring dates from the late Edwardian era, circa 1910.

Manufactured in platinum; there is a stunning large oval cabochon cut turquoise that displays a wonderful sky blue colour that is even throughout surrounded by 18 old European cut diamonds.
The ring is particularly special from underneath. It has a fine teardrop/scalloped design and is beautifully worked/hand-crafted.
Turquoise is an excellent ‘robins eggs’ blue colour. While diamonds are white and sparkling.
The border of the gemstones is `millgrain set` (From the French word `mille` for a thousand, and from grain as the same meaning in English, it refers to what appears to be thousands of tiny beads upon a metal precipice or edge).
It really makes a statement on the finger; and it will be sent in its original box.

Under magnification it shows the hand soldering; these miniature works of art need to be studied and you need to know the manufacturing process to appreciate their character fully.

Turquoise measures 12.8mm x 8.7mm and 3.7mm in depth. Carat weight of 3.00 carats
Diamonds measure approx. 2.2mm. Diamonds have an estimated carat weight of 0.80 carats.
The diamonds are white and bright and well matched, unusually good for the period, appraised colour G/H, clarity Vs/Si and are natural earth mined.

Far superior quality than most we see, the head of the ring measures approx. 18.5mm x 14.2mm and 6.8mm in depth.
The shank measures 1.9mm in width.

Weight 5.0g.

Stamped platinum.

The ring size is currently R (UK Scale) or 8 5/8 (US Size) but can be modified free of charge in our own comprehensive workshops.

Overall a highly collectable and wearable piece of genuine antique jewellery.

CONDITION: Overall very good, with some light wear commensurate with age.
This is an antique item, making it excellent value for your money when compared to a new equivalent.
