Excellent Antique Sterling Silver Albert Watch Chain with T-Bar.
Genuine antique curb link watch chain in good condition, good length, 15.35 inches,(Equivalent to 39cm)
It is termed as an “Albert” chain after Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s husband, who popularised the wearing of chains across the waistcoat with seals and a watch attached to the dog clip terminal.
Weighs 33.7g; a very solid Albert, that uses an excellent gauge of sterling silver.
Each and every link hallmarked with the lion passant for sterling silver. Dated Birmingham 1894.
T-bar hallmarked sterling silver and the sponsors mark 'H P'.
Springs in both are good, very little or no signs of wear between the links - its a good one!
No sign of any repairs.
We have only ultrasonically cleaned it, not polished it, so that it retains its patina.
