Antique Victorian 9ct Rose Gold Ornate Belcher and Snake-Link Albert Watch Chain with T-Bar

Excellent Antique Victorian 9ct Rose Gold Ornate Belcher and Snake-Link Albert Watch Chain with T-Bar.

Genuine antique chain with a lovely decorative design with ornate belcher links and snake links in between; it also has its original dog clips and T-Bar. 

It is a good length measuring 16.5 inches (Equivalent to 41.9cm) meaning it will go around most necks comfortably. There is an extra inch or so in the spare chain, originally to take a fob or seal, that could be added into the chain for extra length if needed. 

It is termed an “Albert” chain after Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s husband, who popularised the wearing of chains across the waistcoat with seals and a watch attached to the dog clip terminal.

It weighs 18.5g.

Both the T-Bar and Dog Clips are stamped '9C' whilst the chain has a '9c' tag soldered to it. 
No sign of any repairs.

We have only ultrasonically cleaned it, not polished it so that it retains its patina.

Genuine one dating from the late Victorian period to early Edwardian era; Circa 1900.
They really aren't out there in this tidy condition any more.

CONDITION: Overall very good, with some very light wear commensurate with age.

This is a antique item making it excellent value for your money when compared to a new equivalent. 
The links are in good condition and can be worn every day (with respect!). It has been professionally cleaned in our workshop.
