Antique Victorian Carved 5 Stone Old European Cut Diamond 18ct Gold Ring

Antique Old European Cut Diamond Victorian Carved 18ct Gold Ring in Very Good Original Condition.

This superbly made ring dates from the Victorian era, with beautiful crisp `carving` across the head of the ring.  
They are just not out there in this sort of condition anymore.

Manufactured in 18ct gold and silver settings (it pre-dates the use of white gold), the shank is 18ct yellow gold and the settings are in silver; this was normal practice during this period. 
It is composed of 5 old European cut diamonds positioned across the head of the ring, tapering in size from the centre. 
Diamonds are clean, white and bright. 
The diamonds are all original, with no replacements, and are remarkable survivors. 

We believe that the finest old European cut diamonds carry a unique character and charm, unparalleled against their modern counterparts.
Genuine period rings of this condition are scarce now. 
The carved sides show no signs of wear, the settings are perfect, it can be worn daily making it the perfect engagement or anniversary/eternity ring.

The principal diamond measures 3.8mm in diameter. The smallest diamond measures 2.3mm in diameter. 
Diamonds have a combined estimated carat weight of 0.50 carats. 

The head of the ring measures approx. 4.6mm (width) tapering to a 1.7mm shank.
The ring weighs 2.3g.

Stamped '18ct'.

The ring size is currently K (UK Scale) or 5 1/8 (US Size) but can be modified free of charge in our own comprehensive workshops.

Overall, a highly collectable and wearable piece of genuine antique jewellery.

CONDITION: Overall very good, with some light wear commensurate with age.
This is an antique item, making it excellent value for your money when compared to a new equivalent. 
The settings are in perfect condition and can be worn every day (with respect). It has been professionally cleaned in our workshop.
