Vintage 9ct Gold Buckle Ring. Superb Crisp Example. London 1971. Hand Chased & Engraved.

Vintage 9ct Gold Buckle Ring, that really has survived in superb Condition; the chasing/engraving still crisp and sharp.

This lovely 9ct gold buckle ring in the Victorian style, it was made in London 1971. It would have originally been given as a commitment ring as the literal meaning is “You are bound to me”. It signifies fidelity in love and loyalty in friendship, so what a wonderful ring to give to someone that you love.

A lovely hand-made example, the buckle and loop have been hand made separately and applied, not cast in one piece, and the decoration is all by hand, not cast or machined.

The head of ring measures 11.6mm tapering to 8.0mm shank, and 1.1mm in depth.
Weight 5.62g. 

UK hallmarked 9ct gold. Dated London 1971. Sponsor's mark `LW&G` (Lawson Ward & Gammage, a well-regarded UK manufacturer of handmade jewellery).

The ring size is O 1/2 (UK Scale) or 7 1/4 (US Size)
