Vintage 9ct Gold Georg Jenson Ruby Eyes 'Scotty' Dog Charm. London 1972

A very handsome little pendant depicting a Scotty Dog/Terrier with Ruby eyes. 

One of my favourite recent purchases, I will miss him, but he needs a new home.
He is very solid and well made, usually they have been on a charm bracelet, banging into others, but this little chap appears to have been worn as a pendant, so remains in very good condition retaining his definition.

Beautifully modelled, could be a charm or pendant, with 2 bright rubies set for his eyes and his body is chased/ engraved, he is very three dimensional and well modelled.

Dogs in jewellery are considered to represent loyalty. A must for any dog lovers!

The meaning of ruby eyes in jewellery is deeply rooted in the symbolism of the ruby itself.
