Excellent Vintage 9ct Rose Gold Double Albert Watch Chain with T-Bar

Genuine rose gold graduated curb link watch chain in excellent condition with its original dog clips and T-Bar; marked on every link 9.375 for 9ct gold. 

Hallmarked Birmingham 1912. Makers/Sponsors mark 'M&M'.

The chain is in good condition and is a good length at 18.0 Inches (equivalent to 45.0cm) meaning it will go round most necks comfortably. There is an extra 1/2 inch in spare chain, originally to take a fob or seal, that could be added into the chain for extra length if needed. 

I imagine the original gentleman that ordered it in 1912 was rather a portly chap!

It is termed an “Albert” chain after Prince Albert, Queen Victoria’s husband, who popularised the wearing of chains across the waistcoat with seals and a watch attached to the dog clip terminal.

Excellent weight example  at 57.6g.

Stamped '9. 375' on just about every link.

No sign of any repairs.

We have only ultrasonically cleaned it, not polished it, so that it retains its patina.

They aren't out there in this length and condition anymore.
